The Hills Have Eyes

Horror fans, brace yourselves for another night of unrelenting terror at Pat’s Film Club with Wes Craven’s pioneering 1977 shocker, “The Hills Have Eyes.”  We’re turning up the Summer Heat and digging deep into the roots of contemporary horror cinema. Like “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” that came before it, it’s raw, intense, and feral!

A suburban family on a road trip finds themselves stranded in a desolate desert, only to be preyed upon by a brutal clan of cannibal mutants. Decades before “A Nightmare on Elm Street” and “Scream”, horror legend Wes Craven pits this “normal” nuclear family against an actual mutant “Nuclear Family” in 90 minutes of savage violence and visceral horror – all under the unrelenting sun of Death Valley.

But who is “normal” when you are in an intense fight for survival? What vicious impulses rage under our “civilised” facade?

Don’t miss this ultra-rare chance to see this chilling classic on the big screen, fully uncut, newly-restored by Arrow Films and looking better than ever.
