Join me for the ultimate Christmas film…

At 6 pm

This is a perfect way to kick off the Holiday Season with an appreciative crowd – it’s my annual reminder that  “no man is a failure who has friends”

This eternal favourite has never looked as good in this beautiful restoration – it practically glows on the screen. If you’ve only seen this on television – this is your chance to see how stunning this film really is.

I avoided watching “It’s A Wonderful Life” for many years. For some reason I had got the impression it was just a sentimental film people watched at Christmas because there wasn’t anything better to do.

Then one year I actually sat down to watch it – and it was like I’d been knocked down by a sleigh.

I had no idea just how powerful this film is – the wild ride George Bailey goes on before having his epiphany at the end.

I realised that the film takes us to very dark places before we get the celebration at the climax – but of course, it’s the darkness that makes the light so powerful.

There’s always lots of arguments about what’s The Best Christmas Film Of All Time™ – and I’m not going to disagree with anyone – all I can say is:

This film makes my Christmas every year, and it’s my privilege to share it with you on the big screen.

Please join me – I’ll be the one sobbing uncontrollably at the door as you leave at the end.

Wednesday December 20th, 6pm – all tickets £5

This show is in association with o-region and supported by BFI Film Audience Network.
