The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Friday 14th – Sunday 16th June

Pat’s Film Club spreads its wings with a second night per month in Truro dedicated to Horror and EIGHT new venues for this screening!

THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE

Perhaps the most famous (infamous?) horror film of the 70s is back for one weekend only in a Glorious 4k restoration to celebrate its 50th Anniversary.

This month, in collaboration with DMP Events, we are proud to present THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE at 9 venues across Cornwall and Devon to celebrate its 50th Anniversary.

For those of you who may not know the film, here is the outline:

Five friends head out to rural Texas to visit the grave of a grandfather. On the way they stumble across what appears to be a deserted house, only to discover something sinister within. Something armed with a chainsaw.

I’m going all out with this one, with me personally introducing the shows in Truro (of course!), Falmouth and Redruth, but with all screenings full of added value such as:

– An in-person or recorded introduction before the film

– A souvenir handout with exclusive commissioned programme notes

– Your very own souvenir Badge!

And – exclusive to Pat’s Film Club all shows will be preceded by a video introduction by one of the original cast members! It’s a great introduction with personal anecdotes and insights into the making of the film, and the effect it had on their life.

Do not miss this!

Coming up to it’s second year at The Plaza, Pat’s Film Club is dedicated to bringing classic and specialist films that you might have missed – making going to the cinema an event again!

We bring people together to celebrate the power of films, offering an unforgettable viewing experience in a warm, communal setting. We invite you to join fellow film enthusiasts to enjoy iconic films the way they were meant to be seen – on the big screen.

Book early to secure your spot and be part of the action!
