Roll out the Red Carpet: The Old Man Movie: Lactopalypse! Premieres at Pat’s Film Club

Picture this – the smell of fresh popcorn wafting through the air, the hushed whispers of excited filmgoers, and the soft rustle of anticipation filling the Plaza Cinema Truro.

Yes, it’s time for another incredible evening with Pat’s Film Club, and we’ve got an international treat that’s certain to leave you both exhilarated and exclaiming, “What did I just see?”

On Sunday, May 25th, we’re delighted to host a special preview Q&A screening of the audacious Estonian animated spectacle, “The Old Man Movie: Lactpoalypse!”

From the genius minds of Mikk Mägi and Oskar Lehemaa, this insane stop-motion masterpiece takes you on a wild roller coaster ride through the rustic mayhem of a Baltic farm. Expect exploding cows, eccentric farmers, and a whole lot of hilarity!

We know you love films that are delightfully unconventional and refreshingly raw, films that challenge norms and tantalize with their artistic ingenuity – after all, that’s the spirit of Pat’s Film Club.

Well, “The Old Man Movie” checks all those boxes and more.

From its lush hand-drawn landscapes to its sharply timed, low-brow humor, this movie is an unapologetic celebration of absurdity that’s brilliantly crafted and fundamentally unique.

But the fun doesn’t stop at the credits. After the screening, stick around for an interactive Q&A session. Unpack your thoughts, share your laughs, and delve into the unique creative processes that birthed this fantastic movie.

It’s an exclusive opportunity to engage with fellow film enthusiasts and celebrate the transformative power of cinema.

So, if you’re ready to venture beyond the norm, embrace the wonderfully weird, and relish in an animated adventure like no other, then book your seat for the special preview Q&A screening of “The Old Man Movie”.

Join us at Plaza Cinema Truro this May 28th, as we raise a glass of milk (just be sure to keep it away from any cows!) to the sheer joy and magic of storytelling.

Pat’s Film Club, as always, is where the exceptional becomes the norm. See you there!

This show is in association with o-region and supported by BFI Film Audience Network.

Note: Although it looks cute and cuddly, the film is actually a 15 certificate – so please don’t bring the little ones!
